Founded in 2004 by award-winning filmmaker Jeff Boam, the Richlier Moving Picture Company serves to produce and consult upon quality story-driven motion pictures for the global film marketplace.

In 2007, Richlier premiered its first property, the award-winning short comedy Charlie Chaplin’s Body, at the Cannes International Film Festival’s Short Film Corner. Its latest property is STILL, a micro-budget psychological thriller, partially supported by the School of Communication at American University in Washington, DC. The film was shot on hi-def and written/directed by DIY independent filmmaker Kylos Brannon.

Next on the horizon will be Boam’s feature debut, the boxing comedy Man on a Canvas.

JEFF BOAM, President/CEO: While an undergraduate at The University of Scranton, Jeff Boam interned as a Script Editor for Inside Politics, Worldview, Both Sides with Jesse Jackson, and Larry King Live at CNN’s Washington, DC Bureau.  In 200 4, he returned to his native Scranton, PA from Huntington Beach, CA to helm the film production of his award-winning one-act play Charlie Chaplin’s Body. The film went on play at the Short Film Corner of the 2007 Cannes International Film Festival and garnered him the ‘Best Filmmaker’ award in a weekly entertainment newspaper’s 2007 ‘Readers Poll.’ Most recently, he produced Still, a feature-length psychological thriller, in conjunction with American University. Currently, he is beginning pre-production on the comedy Man on a Canvas, his feature-length writing/directing debut. Through his company Richlier, Boam has consulted for a number of advertising and video production companies. He has also lectured on film for The University of Scranton and has served on the Executive Board of both the Pennsylvania Film Festival and the Greater Scranton Film Office. In addition, he reviews films and writes the ‘Reel Report’ film column for electric city and diamond city, two of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s premier arts and entertainment newspapers. Most recently, Boam joined John A. Walsh, Senior VP and Executive Editor of the ESPN Internet Group; William Conn elly, former Senior Editor of The New York Times; Al Tielemans, Staff Photographer of Sports Illustrated; and Rob Keenan, VP of Online Media for Edgell Communications, as the panelists for The University of Scranton’s Aquinas Career Forum.
